All San Marcos residents and businesses with an alarm system are required to register their device for public safety purposes with the city.
Registration can be completed and submitted online at https://sanmarcos.progressivecloud.net/Alarmapplication/. A new registration would be required for each location with an alarm system. There is no cost to register your alarm system.
The following fees will be assessed for any false alarms accrued during a 12-month period:

| 3rd | $75 |
| 4th | $150 |
| 5th | $250 |
| 6 or more | $300 |
Invoices will be mailed to the mailing address on file. Payments can be made online at https://sanmarcos.progressivecloud.net/AlarmTrackPayments/Online.app/en-us/login by debit or credit card or e-check*. New users are required to register prior to logging in.

*As authorized by City Council Resolution #2023-9229, the City of San Marcos is now collecting a 2% Transaction Fee for payments made by credit or debit cards and a $1 Transaction Fee for payments made by e-check. If you prefer another payment method, the City still accepts check and cash.
