Community Development Block Grant funds are used to conduct activities that assist low- to moderate-income residents, households and communities. Activities must meet one of three National Objectives:

  1. Serve low-to moderate-income residents
  2. Eliminate or mitigate slums and blight
  3. Address an emergency need

To receive CDBG funds, the City of San Marcos must develop a Consolidated Plan, Annual Action Plan, Citizen Participation Plan, and a Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report. These documents (which can be found below) outline how the City plans on and has used our CDBG funds.
