Mapping process

Mapping processes include the division of existing property, adjusting lot lines, consolidating properties, and easement dedications are also processed through the Land Development Division.

The division of land in which new lots are created is subject to the provisions of the Subdivision Map Act and City Ordinance. A tentative map approval is required to divide land. Application and processing information can be obtained through the Planning Division.

A parcel map is required to subdivide property into four parcels or less and is approved by the City Engineer. A Subdivision Map is required to subdivide property into 5 or more parcels and requires approval from the City Council.

Boundary Adjustments involve in adjusting existing property lines between 4 or less parcels in which no additional parcels are created.

A lot merger involves combining two or more adjacent parcels into a single parcel.
