The IT team is responsible for operation of the City’s enterprise-wide technology infrastructure, voice, video, data network, Internet access, audio and video equipment as well as new technology implementation, maintenance, and support of software applications.

Services

IT provides technical support for the City of San Marcos and San Marcos Fire Department. The City’s network interconnects nine public facilities using a network of Fiber Optics & PTP Wireless Technology to support the voice, video and data services between each public facility.

IT forms a partnership with departments to assess departmental technology requirements and plan for the implementation, setup and maintenance of the appropriate hardware/software solutions to be procured, set-up and maintained.
