Post Date:10/21/2025 9:00 AM
The City of San Marcos will begin traffic signal safety upgrades starting Tuesday, Oct. 22, with work continuing through early next year. Crews will be installing new retroreflective backplates — bright yellow borders around signal lights — to improve visibility and safety for drivers, especially at night or during power outages.
Minor traffic impacts are expected at each location while work is completed. Drivers are encouraged to allow extra time and use caution when traveling through the areas. Please be advised that the schedule and intersections outlined below is subject to change.
