Keep our roads safe this Labor Day weekend

Post Date:08/31/2025

With busy roads this Labor Day weekend, the City of San Marcos invites all residents to join in keeping our streets safe. Whether you drive, walk, or ride, everyone plays a part in road safety.

  • Parents, talk to your kids about safe riding and walking—especially when using bikes and e-bikes. It’s vital they know and follow the rules of the road.
  • Drivers, slow down, avoid distractions, and give space to riders and pedestrians.
  • Walkers and riders, make sure you’re visible—use lights, wear bright or reflective clothing, follow traffic laws, and yield when required so every trip can be a safe one.

Residents are encouraged to review local guidelines, including requirements for helmets, use of bike lanes, and compliance with all traffic controls. For more info and resources, visit: www.san-marcos.net/e-bikes.
