San Marcos Hikes | Saturdays | 8:30 amTrails Day 2008 - Hikers

Check in at the meeting location at 8:30 am; the hikes will commence at 9 am. All hikes are led by San Marcos staff. Please be sure to bring water, wear sturdy shoes and apply sun protection for all hikes.

June 2 | 27th Annual San Marcos Trails Day - Discovery Lake/Double Peak

 Meeting Location: Lakeview Park, 650 Foxhall Drive | 33 07.482 N 10.464 W | 7 mile hike with 1,000 foot elevation gain, 2 mile interpretive walk, equestrian & kids mountain bike course

July 7 | San Dieguito River Park - Lake Hodges North Shore to Felicita Creek

 Meeting Location: SDRP Parking Lot, Lake Drive at Beech Lane in Escondido | 33 03.986 N 117.04.095 W | 7 miles, 425 foot elevation gain

August 4 | San Dieguito River Park - Sunset Drive to Felicita Creek

 Meeting Location: SDRP Parking Lot, Sunset Drive in Escondido south of Via Rancho Parkway | 33 03.986 N 117 04.095 W | 6 miles, 456 foot elevation gain

Children 4 to 12 years will enjoy a night of games, crafts, pizza, and movies. Program is supervised by trained recreation leaders. $20 per child; $5 sibling discount

Fantasy Tea Party | Saturdays or Sundays | 10 am to noon or 2 to 4 pmTea Parties

Historic Wood House in Woodland Park

Children 4 to 12 years old can dress for the occasion as tea (juice) is served at the historic Wood House. Children will have the opportunity to pain a teacup, bake a scone, make a daisy tote bag, and play a Victorian game. Great for Girl Scout Troops, play dates, and birthdays.
