Community Development Block Grant

Each July, the City of San Marcos receives federal Community Development Block Grant funds to conduct activities that assist low- to moderate-income residents, households and communities.

Activities must meet one of three National Objectives:

  1. Serve low-to moderate-income residents
  2. Eliminate or mitigate slums and blight
  3. Address an emergency need

To receive CDBG funds, the City of San Marcos must develop a Consolidated Plan, Annual Action Plan, Citizen Participation Plan, and a Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report. 

The City's three-year Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan detail the planned use of CDBG funds for the benefit of our low-and moderate-income residents.

The Citizen Participation Plan informs residents and organizations about how they can become involved in the annual planning for the use of CDBG funds.

The Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report assesses the City's progress toward meeting the CDBG program's national objectives.  To view any of these documents, select the links below.
