The Trails San Marcos features a proposed 72 miles multi-use trail system. 56 miles of exisiting trails are great for hiking, biking, running, equestrian use and more!

Trail Warnings
Rattlesnakes Rattlesnakes are present on the trails & protect themselves if cornered or threatened. Please do not disturb or attempt to capture them. Look in the bathroom before walking in as snakes like to rest in cool places. If you see a rattlesnake & believe it is a problem & will remain long enough to be caught, please call the San Marcos Fire at (760) 744-1234.
Mountain Lions have recently been sighted When using trails, do not walk or ride alone and keep children close. If you see a mountain lion, do not run away; back up slowly and give them their space. |
