The Human Resources / Risk Division works to protect the City’s human resources and other City-wide assets, in respect to risk management. The division seeks to use preventative measures for protecting City employees and other resources whenever possible, including providing a safe work environment, providing regular safety trainings for employees and engaging an active safety committee to provide a systematic review of incidents while evaluating and updating safety procedures.

The Human Resources / Risk Division manages all claims against the City, including Worker’s Compensation claims. Claims management includes assisting claimants during the claims process, investigating each claim, evaluating potential liability and making recommendations regarding claim resolutions.

Claim forms are available in the Human Resources and Risk Department or can be downloaded here: claim form. Completed claim forms must be submitted to the City Clerk’s office.
