State of Economic Interest (Form 700)San Marcos City Councilmembers are elected officers identified in Government Code Section 87200 and file statements of economic interests (Form 700) with the City Clerk Department.
Copies of the statements of economic interests filed by the city’s elected officers may be obtained by visiting the offices of the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC), 428 J Street, Suite 620, Sacramento or the San Marcos City Clerk's Department, 1 Civic Center Drive (2nd Floor), San Marcos, California 92069.
Statements of economic interests for some state and local government agency elected officers may be available in electronic format on the FPPC’s website.

Ticket Distribution Policy and Disclosures (Form 802)Pursuant to the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) Regulation 18944.1, the City’s written policy regarding the distribution of tickets and passes and the ticket disclosure forms (Form 802) are posted for public access. Ticket disclosure forms are posted on this website within 30-days after distribution of tickets. Click on the applicable link below to view.
Ticket Distribution Policy (Compensation and Reimbursement)Pursuant to Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) Regulation 18705.5, Form 806 is used to report additional compensation that officials receive when appointing themselves to positions on committees, boards or commissions of a public agency, special district, joint powers agency or authority.
The City Council conducts the appointments in January of even numbered years. When there is a change in compensation or a new appointment, the Form 806 will be updated to reflect the change.
