Our Services

The City Clerk is the local official who administers democratic processes such as elections, access to city records, and all legislative actions, ensuring transparency to the public. The City Clerk acts as a compliance officer for federal, state, and local statutes including the Political Reform Act, the Brown Act, and the Public Records Act.

Responsible for maintaining and protecting all vital, permanent and historic records, the City Clerk is responsible for the citywide records management program and coordinates the annual commissions’ recruitment process. Additionally, the department updates and maintains the city’s municipal code and administers regulations relating to the Fair Political Practices Commission.
